Some of these behaviors are seen on one end of the spectrum i.e. classic autism; others on the opposite end i.e. high-functioning autism, Asperger’s syndrome.

LEVEL 3

• Inappropriate attachment to objects
• Obsessive odd play with toys or objects (lines them up or spins them continually)
• Does not like change in routine or environment
• Will only eat certain foods
• Repetitive motor movements (rocking, hand flapping)
• Covers ears
• Becomes stiff when held, does not like to be touched.
• Does not react to pain
