Jaeny has been a resident of San Diego for over 20 years. In 1994, she
was hired to work for the City of San Diego, Park and Recreation Department,
Municipals Pools. In her 13 years with the City, she was a Lifeguard,
Swim and Water Fitness instructor, and Pool Manager who worked with children
of all ages, adults and senior citizens. She also became a board member
for the City of San Diego Water Fitness Exercise committee and Adaptive
Aquatics committee, which developed a Learn to Swim program for children
and adults with disabilities.
Jaeny graduated from San
Diego State University with a B.S. in Biology and joined our team in
2006. She became a board member in 2008 and has created and launched
a number of educational and recreational programs for La Casa. Jaeny
is also an employee of Autism Comprehensive Educational Services (ACES),
which is the sister agency to La Casa Center for Autism. Her hobbies
include swimming, teaching fitness classes, traveling and spending time
with her cats.
